SAVE THE MEN

by Charles Hodge

Men were ordained to be "Spiritual Home Leaders" by God. Society's plight is the failure of men. God's concept of education for man is called "Father." "Fathers, provoke not your children to wrath . . . Bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord." There is a profound desire within each child to do what his Daddy does. Boys, especially, have a deeper longing to learn what a man does. The average man fails to realize how incredibly powerful his daily attitudes and actions are . . . especially with the children in his house. "The hidden value of man." The "Absentee Fathers" is destroying us. A father not only influences his children but his children's children. Who we are today can affect four generations. This determines our family tree. Man's personal power. It is power under control.

This power when mis-used is equally powerful. Anger, tantrums, spousal abuse, cursings, drunkenness, failure destroy families, shatter potential. The heart of a child is in his father's hands. Divorce devastates children. A child's heart is easily bruised, torn, broken. How can trust be restored? "The Silent Scream."

Look at our prisons . . . 99% of those on death row are men. 95% in jail are men. 91% of drunken drivers are men. 90% of parental abuse is by men. Men do most of the damage to our society. We don't need more gun laws - we need penitent, changed men. The problem in our society is men! It's time men denounced their love affair with themselves and repented.

Save the Man! Even abortion is a "man issue." The man should be pure and not seduce the woman. Why dump the power to say "No" on the woman? When pregnant, why is the choice of abortion left to the woman? Man uses the woman, then forsakes her.

God help us save the men.
